Pelgulinna State gymnasium
The Pelgulinna State Gymnasium is one of the largest public wooden construction buildings in Estonia, where wood has been used extensively. Of the load-bearing structures of the building, 85% are made of glued laminated timber and cross-laminated timber (CLT). Around 2800 m³ of CLT and glued laminated timber (CLT) have been used in the school building.
The four-story school building is spacious and environmentally friendly, with a footprint under construction of 3773 m² and an enclosed net area of 8273 m². Its eye-catching design consists of three cubes fused seamlessly together, creating a unique learning environment.
